Privacy and storage

Ketanima lets you record sensitive information about substance use and your days. The public version stores your records on the device where you enter them. Encrypted syncing between devices is still being tested.

Who is responsible

Ketanima is created by David Ortega Ruedas (achosagency). For privacy or support questions, email hi@achos.agency.

What stays on your device

Your profile, dates and substance use records, mood, plans, trusted contacts, reflections, and game progress are stored locally. You can use Ketanima without creating an account. The website and installed app have separate storage in the current public version.

You can delete your records from Profile. In the installed app, you can also prepare a JSON copy and choose where to share it. The app removes its temporary file when the share sheet closes. If you clear browser storage or uninstall the app without a copy, you may lose your records. System backups depend on your device settings.

Syncing between devices

Encrypted syncing between the web and phones is being tested in a separate environment. It is not active in the public version or the current TestFlight build. Records entered on one device do not appear automatically on another. We will test it on physical devices and update this notice before enabling it.

Community and Apple Watch

In this version, Community shares a link to Ketanima only when you tap the button. It does not create accounts or publish your records.

If you use a paired Apple Watch, your iPhone sends it a summary of your days, mood, substances and today's amounts, and the names, relationships, and zones of people you added to My People. It also sends phrases from the app. Phone numbers, relationship notes, tasks, and reasons are excluded. Mood and substance use changes made on the Watch are transferred back to the iPhone through Watch Connectivity. This exchange takes place between your devices, without a Ketanima server.

Connections and external services

Fonts and other interface files are served by Ketanima. The website is hosted on Netlify, which may process technical request data needed to serve and protect it, such as your IP address. The public version does not send your substance use records to a Ketanima sync service.

Links to information sources, support, phone calls, WhatsApp, and sharing options open only when you choose them. Any information you decide to send is handled by the service and recipient you select.

Cookies and local storage

Ketanima does not set advertising cookies or use analytics tools on its public pages. It uses local storage for your profile, records, preferences, and games. This is needed to remember what you choose to save in the app. You can remove it from Profile or through your browser settings.

The separate, private Day Hospital area uses a technical access cookie that expires after twelve hours. It is not used for advertising or tracking.

Payments

The current app does not activate in-app purchases or subscriptions. The website may show an option for voluntary support, but it does not process payments until a provider is configured. Before activating a subscription, we will update this page to explain how receipts and the validation service are handled.

Your choices

You can view, change, and delete locally stored records in the app. For questions about technical website data or to exercise your privacy rights, email hi@achos.agency. If you voluntarily shared information with another person or service, contact that recipient to request its deletion as well.
